2024 Carnival in São Paulo: Camarote Bar Brahma
A good place to see samba parade (if you have money)
I wrote about Bar Brahma being attacked and forgot to say that the bar has a kind of “box” (we call “camarote”) in the São Paulo carnival. Camarote Bar Brahma is a great option if you want to see the carnival in a safe and comfortable place. Of course, it's not cheap - but it's worth it.
Me and my girlfriend went there last carnival and it was awesome. Probably you will compare it with the Carnival of Rio de Janeiro - and all I can say is a useless comparison. Of course, the Rio's Carnival is HUGE and INSANE. But you have to be prepared to go there - chaos, intense traffic (of cars!), lines and more lines…
But let's focus on São Paulo! What is the Camarote Bar Brahma (CBB)? Let me say some things:
It's a private special mezzanine box, located inside the Anhembi Sambadrome, which allows you to watch the parade of samba schools;
The CBB has 3 different spots: Sector CBB, Varanda VIP/VIP Balcony (the most desirable place), and Corporate Camarote (for companies);
All the passes offer free drinks and food and you can buy gourmet options - there are a lot of options, including pizza, barbecue, sandwich, hamburger, ice cream, salad;
At Varanda VIP/VIP Balcony, you will have a premium “open bar” (with more free food), massage service, and exclusive toilets;
The concerts are the icing on the cake (I hope you like it; in Brazilian Portuguese, we say “cherry on the cake”!);
And, for 2024, you can parade in one of the samba schools, with the Ala Brahma pass.
You can buy Camarote Bar Brahma 2024 tickets here.
